Description

The three basic planes-triangle, square, circle-are, of course, products of the systematically moving point. When two diagonals, whose ends are connected by horizontals and verticals, are passed through the center of the circle, the result is the basis of Arabic and Roman numerals, according to A. S. Puschkin

AD=1
ABDC=2
ABECD=3
ABD+AE=4
etc.

Thus meet here:
1. the roots of two numerical systems, and
2. the roots of the forms of art.

If this deep-going relationship actually exists, we have a certain confirmation of our surmise that phenomena which seem to be fundamentally different on the surface and completely separate from each other derive from one single root.
